Biographical data
He graduated from high school in Pápa in 1934, and on August 15 of that same year, he entered the Premonstratensian Abbey in Csorna. He took his perpetual vows on August 15, 1939. He was ordained a priest on August 20, 1940. In 1943, he earned a teaching degree in Hungarian and French. He left the country in 1951; from 1951 to 1953, he served as a parish priest in Morocco, then emigrated to the United States, where he earned a master’s degree in political science in 1957. He was a member of the Academia Catholica Hungarica and the Order of Saint Lazarus in Jerusalem, and served as secretary of the Hungarian Scout Association in Los Angeles.
His death was caused by complications from diabetes and pneumonia, as well as Alzheimer’s disease.
