A second-generation Hungarian. He studied theology at St. Mary’s Seminary in Cleveland, OH. He was ordained a priest on May 31, 1941. He was the founder of the Association of Hungarian Priests. His sermons were regularly broadcast on Cleveland radio. In addition to his pastoral work, he was also a painter who created icons. He was a member of the diocesan presbyteral senate and the liturgical committee. His monograph on Károly Böhm is of inestimable value for research into the first decades of Hungarian Catholic pastoral ministry. He spent his final year at the Regina Health Center.
