He entered the Basilian Order on July 19, 1930. He took his solemn vows on July 1, 1939. He was ordained a priest by Bishop Péter Pál Gojdics on July 30, 1939. Around 1950, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison, but the verdict was likely handed down in his absence, as he had already fled abroad by that time. He arrived in the United States on July 21, 1952. Sources differ significantly regarding the year of his death. According to some sources, he died in either 1978 or 1979, but there is also a source citing October 18, 1990.
