Biographical data
He entered the order on September 7, 1935, at the age of twenty-four. He spent his probationary years in Budapest, at the Manréza. He took his vows on February 2, 1946. He completed a nursing course. In 1949, he participated in the escape of novice members to the West. Since he was from the border region, he returned home to organize the escape of more novices, but was captured near Kondorfa. During the interrogation, he was severely tortured, and he bore the consequences of this for the rest of his life. After his release, around 1950, he himself fled to the West. In 1951, he requested to transfer to the Discalced Carmelite Order, but returned from there within two years. In 1980, he moved to Canada, but he could not acclimate to the climate, so he soon returned to Italy. He was a brother beloved by all. At his funeral Mass, held at the Church of St. Ignatius in Rome, more than fifty priests concelebrated.
