His parents are Aladár Licskó, an ambulance driver, and Elvira Kurosi, a nurse. He spent his childhood in Balassagyarmat at the Salesian parish of St. John Bosco, first as an altar server and later as a youth leader. He became a member of the Regnum Marianum community. He graduated from high school in Salgótarján in 1998, then earned vocational certifications as a computer technician and a mechanical engineering technician in 1999. He completed his theological studies in Esztergom. While still a seminarian, he traveled to Canada, where he spent six weeks in Winnipeg studying English. He completed his six-month diaconate internship at the St. Gellért Parish in Budapest-Kelenföld. He was ordained a priest in Esztergom by Cardinal Péter Erdő on June 18, 2005. He passed his master’s examination in canon law in 2009 and earned a licentiate in canon law in 2010. He has served as a clerk at the Primate’s and Archiepiscopal Court since 2010. He has been a judge at the Archiepiscopal Court of Esztergom-Budapest since February 7, 2012. He has served as secretary of the Canadian Hungarian Priests’ Association since 2013, president of the Communité Catholique Hongroise de Montréal since 2012, and vice president of the Hungarian Committee of Montreal since 2012. In 2020, he left the priesthood and settled in Canada.
