He was ordained a priest as a Franciscan friar on September 21, 1893. In 1899, he began serving in the Diocese of Esztergom. He resided in the United States from 1904 to 1907. He published a book about his experiences in America, in which he portrayed the country in a decidedly negative light, describing it as a “land of the rich.” He retired in 1935.
