Biographical data
He was ordained a priest on June 23, 1935. He left the country sometime after 1947, as the diocesan bishop of Szombathely—along with several other priests—called on him in a circular letter in 1958 to return and take up his assigned post, otherwise he would be suspended. According to the file in the ABTL, he was in South Africa before the 1970s. The 1972 directory of the Diocese of Szombathely lists him as being in the United States. This is also the case in the 1977 and 1984 yearbooks; however, this information is incorrect, as he served in the Republic of South Africa after Austria.
