Biographical data
He was consecrated as Bishop of Vác on June 6, 1924, and then entered the Society of Jesus on July 16, 1927. From 1929 to 1930, he studied philosophy in Szeged, and from 1932 to 1933, he studied in Budapest, where he earned a degree in mathematics, physics, and chemistry. He completed his third year of novitiate in Florence in 1941. He left for abroad in 1948 and served as chaplain to the Hungarian community in Montevideo, Uruguay, until 1953; From 1954 to 1957, he served as a Hungarian pastor in Australia, and from 1958 to 1959, he pursued a career as a writer in Chieri, Italy. According to the Jesuit directory, he was a candidate in the Piarist Order in 1960, as some sources indicate that his relationship with the Jesuits had deteriorated, and they did not wish to accept him as a diocesan priest. There is much uncertainty surrounding this period of his life, as he does not appear in the Piarist database. Around 1965, for unknown reasons, he changed his name to Nimrod. He was the founder of St. Stephen’s House in San Francisco. He was a member of the Árpád Academy beginning in 1984. He passed away while working, sitting at his desk.
