Biographical data
According to records, he was primarily involved in Czech-language pastoral work, and then, beginning on December 6, 1946, he served as pastor of St. Stephen’s Church in McKeesport. During his tenure, he founded the bowling club and reorganized the Society of the Holy Name. Based on currently available American sources, the life story of the American priest Raymond Stephen (Frank) Novak can be well documented through this ministry. At the same time, some earlier Hungarian sources also mention a priest named Rajmund Novák I., who belonged to the Archdiocese of Eger and is associated with Nyírbátor, as well as Baltimore and Allentown. There are currently no conclusive sources confirming the existence of this person or that he is the same individual as Raymond Stephen Novak, who served in McKeesport; therefore, there is no justification for merging the two biographies.
