Biographical data
His parents were Gyula Orosz, a priest, and Mária Pogácsás-Balogh. He arrived in the United States with his family on February 16, 1903, and returned home in 1908. On June 29, 1926, in Nyíregyháza, he was ordained as a priest of the Diocese of Hajdúdorog by Diocesan Bishop István Miklósy. He was an unmarried pastor. In 1931, he moved back to the United States, arriving on January 30, 1931, aboard the steamship Leviathan.
