Biographical data
He studied in Cluj-Napoca from 1919 to 1927, where he graduated from high school. He applied for admission to the Franciscan Order on September 8, 1922. He took his solemn vows on June 27, 1929. He was ordained a priest on June 28, 1931. The Romanians arrested and tortured him; later, the Hungarian government exchanged him for Romanian prisoners, so he served in Hungary until the reintegration of Transylvania. In 1946–47, he was held captive by the Russians and later died of an illness contracted there. In 1948, he fled to Austria. He arrived in the United States on May 5, 1948. He was the head of the consulate.
