Biographical data
He entered the Franciscan Order on September 5, 1907. He took his perpetual vows on October 2, 1914. He was ordained a priest on June 25, 1916. He earned a doctorate in theology.
He resided in the United States from 1922 to 1928. From 1937 to 1941, he served as a Hungarian pastor in Berlin, from which he was removed at the express request of the Hungarian ambassador to Berlin. From 1950, he was forced into hiding in Budatétény; he was arrested in 1952 and sentenced to seven years in prison in the first instance and four years in the second instance on charges of sedition. After his release, he lived first in Gyöngyös and then in Esztergom.
