Biographical data
He entered the order on September 6, 1896. He took his perpetual vows on February 1, 1901. He was ordained a priest on June 7, 1901. In 1944, at the monastery in Veszprém that he led, a Mass was held as a thanksgiving service for Veszprém’s “freedom from Jews.” The bishop at the time, József Mindszenty, protested against this. According to Margit Balogh, he later—presumably for a short time—went to the United States, but there is no information about his places of service there. What is certain is that, if he was there at all, he returned home, as he died in Esztergom.
